You can’t beat a Breakfast Roll for a filling and satisfying start to the morning. My absolute favourite combo is bacon, egg and tomato.

When you’ve got an early start it can seem like a bit of a faff to cook everything but by using your Airfryer you can cook everything in one place, even the bread roll!

AIRFRYER BREAKFAST ROLL RECIPE

You need just four ingredients for this recipe:

  • Part Baked Bread Roll
  • Bacon Medallions
  • Egg
  • Tomato

You can of course use a fresh bread roll. I love the part baked rolls as it means you always have a piping hot bread roll and you can freeze them too.

I love these part baked bread rolls from Aldi.

Raw Ingredients all arranged on a plastic chopping board.

The first step is to add the bread roll, bacon and egg to the airfryer.

Cook at 200c for 5 minutes.

Raw ingredients placed in the airfryer drawer. Ready for cooking.

After 5 minutes, remove the bread roll and egg. I put the egg into a bowl of cold water to cool it down.

Turn the bacon over and cook it for another 2-3 minutes until crispy.

CAN YOU COOK AN EGG IN THE AIRFRYER?

I always get so many questions about this. Yes you can!

The egg will cook in the shell in the airfryer in 5 minutes. It will be soft, like a soft boiled egg. You can either peel it as normal or else take the top off and scoop the egg out.

I know some people are worried about the egg exploding in the airfryer. Thankfully this has never happened to me but the trick is not to overcook it. If you prefer an egg to be hard then it’s probably best to boil it instead.

Once everything is cooked, slice the bread roll open and fill it with the egg, bacon and slices of tomato.

Absolutely delicious!

WHICH AIR FRYER IS THE BEST?

There’s so many different air fryers out there on the market at the moment. Some of the big brand names are expensive but I have been using this Uten 6.5 Litre Air Fryer since last year and I love it.
